Claudia Lennear (also rendered as Linnear and Lenier when she appeared on Stephen Stills’s albums) is an American soul singer. Claudia Lennear was fronting a soul group called the Superbs when she was approached by Ike Turner to audition for a position as an Ikette. He was a terrific business person, very disciplined, and he was a visionary," she said. Lennear was with Ike & Tina Turner for three years until she had a spat with Tina Turner.

Claudia Lennear is in fine voice throughout her only (as of 2013) solo album. Her proven ability to sing and dance with the best (Tina & Ike Turner, Joe Cocker, George Harrison, etc) along with her stunning beauty made her a good bet for solo stardom. Unfortunately the album is somewhat of a misfire. Most of the songs, as arranged and performed, feel more like vamps than distinctive melodies with hooks. All well and good if the songs have the grit and edge of a Betty Davis.
