Bobby Digital in Stereo is the solo debut studio album by American hip hop recording artist and record producer RZA, of the hip hop group Wu-Tang Clan. It was released on November 24, 1998, and was certified Gold on February 5, 1999, by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
Featuring four bonus RZA tracks at the end (as opposed to RZA as Bobby Digital). Angel Cake's performance on "Love Jones" is incorrectly attributed to "Airwaves". Love Jones" contains a sample from the Mighty Ryders' "The Mighty Riders, Star Children". Hey yall, I need the outer sleeve to this album. Anyone have a spare for sale? Please let me know!
RZA as Bobby Digital Bobby Did It (Spanish Fly) (feat. Islord, Timbo King, Ghostface Killah & Jamie Sommers). RZA as Bobby Digital In Stereo (1998) (Full Album). RZA as Bobby Digital Straight up the block feat. RZA as Bobby Digital Good night feat. The Reverend William Burk, Thea & Crisis. RZA as Bobby Digital Holocaust (Silkworm) (feat. Holocaust, Doc Doom, Ghostface Killah & Ms. Roxy). RZA as Bobby Digital You Can't Stop Me Now (Explicit) feat
RZA's first solo album, the soundtrack to a film involving experimental self-transformation, has many of the same fractured strings and crisp, staccato beats he made trademarks on Wu-Tang Clan recordings. In fact, this could well be a Wu-Tang album, even more so than the legion of other related albums. The only contributors to the project are Wu members (Method Man, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Ghostface Killah, U-God, Inspectah Deck) or relatives (Killarmy, Masta Killa, Sunz of Man)
Overall, Bobby Digital in Stereo is a good album, with a lot of obvious flaws that are visible to even the blindest eye. The production a lot of times sounds like RZA ran out of soul samples to weave into a beat, and just picked up whatever he could, and then picked up Swiss Beatz’s Casio keyboard and did the best he could to sound like he actually knew what he was doing, while the rhymes at their very worse sound off beat and a. But at its best, RZA manages to make old heights, with rhymes that are incredibly proficient and at times of the same smart ass status that he used to reach.
