He also authored a series of children's books known as "Le Petit Nicolas" series (Little Nicolas).

The original Asterix album that the movie would have been based on. Status: Lost.

Asterix and the Golden Sickle. Asterix and the Goths. Astérix et les Goths. Asterix and Cleopatra. Astérix et Cléopâtre. Caesar calls the Egyptians inferior to the Romans. After the death of Goscinny, Uderzo continued the series by himself, writing his own stories on subjects such as feminism and aliens, with travels to India and Atlantis. These newer books are often criticised for lacking Goscinny's humour and writing style, and some fans consider the series ended with Asterix in Belgium.

The 13-digit and 10-digit formats both work. Asterix and the Golden Sickle (French: La serpe d'or, "The Golden Sickle") is the second volume of the Asterix comic book series, by René Goscinny (stories) and Albert Uderzo (illustrations). It was first serialized in Pilote magazine issues 42–74 in 1960.

Where could he have gone?

Albert Uderzo’s famous caricatures appear for the first time in this album. And so the long list begins, delighting physiognomists and others alike, from Raimu (French actor with a strong Marseilles accent) to Jacques Chirac via Kirk Douglas and the Beatles. A cartoon feature film of Asterix and the Golden Sickle was produced on the quiet by Dargaud at the same time as the first one, Asterix the Gaul. While the authors had accepted the first film, they flatly refused the second and went on to take part in the production of Asterix and Cleopatra. Character profiles of the album.
