Blondie is the eponymous debut studio album by American rock band Blondie, released in December 1976 by Private Stock Records. The first single "X Offender" was originally titled "Sex Offender", but since radio stations would not play a song with such a provocative title, the band renamed the song. After disappointing sales and poor publicity, the band ended their contract with Private Stock and signed with Chrysalis Records in 1977
In the Flesh" is a song by American band Blondie. Originally from the band's self-titled debut album, Blondie, the song was Blondie's second and final single on the Private Stock label. The song has a feel reminiscent of Phil Spector-produced pop from the early 60s, with prominent piano, female backing vocals, and a time signature of 12/8
Only 7 left in stock (more on the way). The single reached number 1 in Australia, while the album went top twenty in October 1977. A subsequent double-A release of X-Offender and Rip Her to Shreds was a minor hit in the UK and a successful Australian tour followed in December '77. While popularity and success was beckoning overseas however, on their home turf Blondie remained an underground act and it was while cloaked by such a status that the group played the Old Waldorf in San Francisco on 21st September 1977

Went walking one day on the lower east side. Met you with a girlfriend you were so divine. She said hands off this one sweetie this boy is mine. I couldn't resist you Im not deaf dumb and blind. Ooh darlin darlin darlin watch out if I see you. C.Cause if you say hello it'll mean you wanna see me in the flesh. Ooh ooh ooh warm and soft in the flesh. Ooh ooh ooh close and hot in the flesh. Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooooh ooh. Arranged.
That would all change in September 1978 and the release of Blondie's third album, Parallel Lines, which would go top 10 on the billboard chart, and reach number one in the UK along with many other territories. This remarkably charged live performance by Blondie comes from an FM Radio broadcast and illustrates just what a dynamic yet professional act they were a, full year before the world knew their name. At the time seen as contemporaries it remains fascinating to consider what was to come for this little known combo as they played their very souls out on this late summer evening almost.
