Don't Look Back is the second studio album by American rock band Boston, released in 1978 on Epic Records. The album reached No. 1 in the US and No. 9 in the UK, and the title track is one of the band's biggest hits, reaching No. 4 in 1978 on the Billboard Hot 100. The album sold over four million copies in the first month of its release, and was certified 7x platinum by the RIAA in the US.

Don't Look Back (Boston song). Don't Look Back" is a song written by Tom Scholz that was first released by Boston in 1978 as the title track to their second album, Don't Look Back. It reached on the Billboard Hot 100, making it one of the band's biggest hits. Although the first song on the album, "Don't Look Back" was its final song to be written and recorded.

Don't look back (ooh, a new day is breakin') It's been too long since I felt this way I don't mind (ooh, where I get taken) The road is callin', today is the day. I can see, it took so long just to realize I'm much too strong not to compromise Now I see what I am is holding me down I'll turn it around, oh, yes, I will. I finally see the dawn arrivin' I see beyond the road I'm drivin' Ooh, far away and left behind, left behind. Oh, the sun is shinin' and I'm on that road. Don't look back (ooh, a new day is breakin') Oh, It's been so long since I felt this way I don't mind (ooh, where I get taken) The road is callin', today is the day. I can see, it took so long just to realize I'm much too strong not to compromise Now I see what I am is holding me down I'll turn it around, oh, yes, I will

Don't Look Back" was the final song of the memorial/tribute concert for Boston lead vocalist Bred Delp in August of 2007. Delp passed away in 2007, having committed suicide. He did so as neatly and quietly as he could in his home, with numerous considerate notes for those who would find him. This included notes asking after the continued care of his pet cat. Further notes claimed that he had suffered bouts of depression since his teenage years, though he had never let anyone on to such a problem

Boston's many fans were upset that it took the band two years to follow up its monster debut. When it arrived, the sophomore effort DON'T LOOK BACK was a virtual rewrite of BOSTON. This didn't stop the masses from snapping up the album, which ultimately racked up sales in the multi-platinum range. Boston sounds inspired on the anthemic title track. Other standout tracks include "It's Easy" and "Man I'll Never B. The hard-rocking "Don't Be Afraid" closes the album

Notes

This disc is an Epic release, but has a Columbia logo on the face of the disc. All others submitted and pictured with this catalog ID have the Epic logo on the face of the disc. This also changes how the tracks are listed on the face of the disc, from the other releases. Therefore, I believe this is likely a misprint.

All songs recorded and mixed at Tom Scholz' Hideaway Studio, except piano on Track 4 recorded at Northern Studio, Maynard, Mass.

I've been trying to figure this disc out! I just bought one of these pressings. I find it odd that they reissued this right before the release of the remastered self-titled and Don't Look Back CDs.
