Rose Royce's third album contains two killer ballads: "I'm in Love (And I Love the Feeling)," and the much recorded "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" which Gwen Dickey works like Mary J. Rose Royce Format: Vinyl. Something in the late 70's R&B climate was being very kind to bands such as Rose Royce. After two amazing albums previous to this one the band were taking full advantage of a sound that had built up from the "united funk" era earlier in the 70's but didn't get a whole lot of coverage. It was a genre known as progressive funk. It grew out of the psychedelic soul that their producer Norman Whitfield had pioneered early in the decade.
