Tricky Woo is a Canadian indie rock band, based in Montreal. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Andrew Dickson, guitarist Adrian Popovich, bass guitarist Alex Crowe and drummer Patrick Sayers. The name of the band is taken from the name of a fictional pampered dog featured in James Herriot's best-selling autobiographical novel All Creatures Great and Small, which tracks the life of a country veterinarian in pre-war England.
The Children of Lir (Irish: Oidheadh chloinne Lir) is a legend from Irish mythology. It is a tale from the n period that mixes magical elements such as druidic wands and spells with a Christian message of faith bringing freedom from suffering.
Forget the Darkness, Canadian retro-rockers Tricky Woo channel the sleaze and debauchery of the pre-hair metal '80s without the aid of a killer falsetto and the requisite album-closing power ballad. The group's rise from blues-based, psychedelic garage band to full-time metal gods has not been without strife, as it took them four years and a breakup (lauded axe man Adrian Popovitch has returned to the fold) to conjure the blistering First Blush. From the very first notes of "Pink Thunder," it's clear that the boys from Montreal have their mojo back.

It appears that Montreal's Tricky Woo are now officially over their infatuation with Pink Floyd, and as First Blush indicates, they've set their sights on the sound of KISS circa Alive II. Yes, that means the simple and heavy guitar riffing, the cowbell clank and all the goofy clichés that go with it, including feverish feelings about bay-bays and rockin' in the danger zone. There's even a track titled Pink Thunder.
