Blade Runner is a 1982 neo-noir science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott, and written by Hampton Fancher and David Peoples. Starring Harrison Ford, Rutger Hauer and Sean Young, it is loosely based on Philip K. Dick's novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? (1968). The film is set in a dystopian future Los Angeles of 2019, in which synthetic humans known as replicants are bio-engineered by the powerful Tyrell Corporation to work on off-world colonies.

Then comes "Blade Runner", a 10 min. mini-suite that in essence captures the many themes heard earlier in the movie. it runs over the movie's end titles. This collection ends with a song called "Almost Human", sung by Lauren Daigle. Please note: this song is NOT featured in the movie. The album features a lot of dark and gloomy background music and sounds. It does not contain any film dialogue clips, which is what you would have found on the Vangelis soundtrack to the 1982 film "Blade Runner" and contains only 1 song at the very end. It may be unfair to compare the two soundtracks as well as the 2 films, set 35 years apart, both in the fictional and real worlds, and both technology and filmmaking methods have evolved in the meantime.
