A ship is setting course to sea Shes carried by the wind A voyage unto mystery Once harbour lights have dimmed A valiant toy of the waves and the tide Sails in the night The sea has many tales to tell Of all the sunken ships But trident hearts conceal them well Where man will have no grip Laughing at legends the. crew shows no fear Though fate is near The waves have taken what was theirs Ships went down, but no one cares So many sailors lay buried in the deep Theyll no longer weep Have mercy on me Dont let the sea Swallow my life Swallow my life They see the angry rollers that Are reaching.
Title song of dutch band Kayak's 1978 album, written by Irene Linders and Ton Scherpenzeel. Phantom of the Night". A ship is setting course to sea She's carried by the wind A voyage unto mystery Once harbour lights have dimmed. A valiant toy of the waves and the tide Sails in the night. The sea has many tales to tell Of all the sunken ships But trident hearts conceal them well Where man will have no grip. Laughing at legends the crew shows no fear Though fate is near
Each album, 1977's 'Starlight Dancer', 1978's'Phantom Of The Night' & 1980's 'Periscope Life', ispresented in its' entirety & with the original cover artintact. A grand total of 37 tracks. What a pity that it's almost impossible to get the old Kayak records on CD in Europe! That's especially true for "Starlight Dancer (1977), "Phantom Of The Night" (1979), and "Periscope Life" (1980), which mark the second phase of Kayak after drummer Pim Koopman left, and which I have NEVER seen in any stores in Germany, although Kayak is a Dutch band. Some people say that these albums are crap compared to their earlier ones, but I would like to disagree.
Phantom Of The Night.
Features Song Lyrics for Kayak's Phantom of the Night album. Kayak - Phantom of the Night Album Lyrics. 1. First Signs of Spring Lyrics. 2. Starlight Dancer Lyrics.
