Originally released in 1976 during high times for Hi Records, this interesting album never got much exposure. The group is the basic Hi Rhythm section; the guys who backed Al Green, Syl Johnson, Don Bryant, Ann Peeples, and others in the studio. The lead vocalist on "Superstar," "Since You've Been Gone," and some other cuts sounds like Al Green on a beer binge. I Remember You, Do You" sounds like a hit, a twist on the obvious.

Hi Rhythm - On The Loose (Album). I Could Never Be Satisfied (as H. Bush) Bobby Womack & Brotherhood (13) - Home Is Where The Heart Is (Album).

Merry Clayton - Keep Your Eye On The Sparrow. Tom Jones - Love Is On The Radio.

Rhythm on the Loose was the alter-ego of DJ Geoff Hibbert, who also went under the names of Cyclone & G. R. H. Top Tracks.

Loughborough, United Kingdom. Geoff Hibbert has been producing dance music since 1988. He has released singles under the names of Rhythm On The Loose, Cyclone, Organ Musical Clocks & Boxes and Kama feat Gee Aitch. His most successful track was Break Of Dawn which, after being released in 1991, eventually charted in 1995 and was featured on a whole host of old skool albums in the mid noughties and then covered by Out Of Office in 2008. He took a break from music from 1997 to 2012 until he was tracked down by Rachel Elektra and encouraged to get back into the music once again.

The Hi Rhythm Section was the house band for hit soul albums by several artists, including Al Green and Ann Peebles, on Willie Mitchell's Hi Records label in the 1970s. The band included the three Hodges brothers, Charles Hodges (organ), Leroy Hodges (bass), and Mabon "Teenie" Hodges (guitar), together with drummer Howard Grimes (or Stax Records legend Al Jackson, Jr. on most singles until his death in 1975). The Hodges brothers, with Grimes, recorded the 1976 LP On the Loose as Hi Rhythm, and 1994 saw the release of Perfect Gentlemen, featuring a fourth Hodges with the addition of Fred on keyboards as well as Percy Wiggins on vocals, issued on Velvet Recordings of America as by The Hodges Brothers. The band dissolved after Hi Records was sold in 1977
